Google has officially released their 2008 list of most searched topics, and it looks like our favorite Katrina Kaif has made the list. Over the last year her popularity has soured, and she has become one of India's top searches, not to mention the number one search for Bollywood actresses on the year. The spot, previously held by the popular Aishwarya Rai, has now been filled by the lovely Katrina Kaif, a testament to her career which has only seemed to bloom over the last 12 months.
Her new movie 'Yuvvraaj', her recent win as Eastern Eye's sexiest Asian Woman Poll has made, and the many salacious rumors surrounding her and frequent co-star and boyfriend Salman Khan, make the reasons behind the sudden change obvious. But it doesn't look as though her shining moment is set to be over any time soon. She is quickly being regarded as one of the best Bollywood actresses in the business, not to mention the most beautiful, and she has plenty of projects on her plate to keep fans coming back for more again and again.
Katrina has made no comment yet on what she thinks about this development, but with well over 200,000 results on a Google search of her name, I think it is safe to say she will be flattered, and possibly touched by the dedication of her large number of fans. And I am sure that the number of times her name shows up in other search engines across the net will prove that she is even more popular the Google suspects, and that next year the numbers will be even higher.
In the meantime I know that my own searching will continue to be as frequent as it has been, and I am sure I speak for everyone when I say that we love you, Katrina, and you deserve every bit of popularity you have acquired.
